New Bethel Food Pantry (Contact: sherribauer@me.com)

• Sept. 14 - Tuesday (10 am to 12 noon). Need 2 volunteers inside to help bag & move carts. Also, another 2 volunteers outside to load cars.

• Sept. 18 – Saturday

  • First Shift (6 - 9 am). Unload the truck from the food bank and set up parking lot with supplies. Start filling shopping carts. Need 5+ volunteers.

  • Second Shift (7-10 am). Continue filling shopping carts and load trucks. Pack and load extra food to take to other distribution programs. Need up to 15 volunteers.

• Sept. 20 - Monday (10 am to 12 noon, assuming the truck from the Food Bank arrives on time). Unload truck and break down contents of the pallets of supplies. Bag the contents. Need 4+ volunteers.

• Sept. 21 - Tuesday (10 am to 12 noon). Need 2 volunteers inside to help bag & move carts. Also, another 2 volunteers outside to load cars.

Rolesville Farmer’s Market – September 11th, 9-12 (Family and Children activity, TBD) (Contact: tyler@vcrolesville.org )

 

School Supply Drive (Contact: bwelch520@gmail.com)

Village Church Rolesville is holding a school supply drive for fellow friends in Granite Acres.  Families will make use of supplies at home or school as needed. Here is a list of needed items:

• 24 count pack of crayons

• Colored pencils

• Pencils

• Glue Sticks

• Sticky Notes

• Notebook Paper

• Primary Journals

• Rulers

• Markers

• Calculators (Dollar Tree)

• Rulers

• Dry-erase Markers

• Whiteboards

• Children’s Scissors

• Construction Paper (multicolored)

 

Supplies will be collected through September 12.  Please place items in the bin at the front door of the church. We will distribute at Granite Acres on Saturday, September 18th at 11am.  

WFUMC Fish Fry – September 17th, 9:30am-7pm, but also help setup at 6pm on September 16th (Contact: g0b07shaw@gmail.com )

 

Sanford Creek Elementary Beautification – September 18th, 9am. Please join us on Saturday, September 18 to help clean-up and beautify the outdoor areas of the school. The event is set for 9am-12pm – stay for a little or as long as you like. ALL hands are welcomed!   Contact SCE Parent, Debbie Dolan @ 919-302-6043 to sign-up.

CROP Walk – September 26th, 1:45pm

The Wake Forest United Methodist Church has a participated in the Wake Forest CROP Hunger walk for all 41 years and this year is no different. The CROP Hunger Walk is an opportunity for ALL of us to give a witness to our faith by our actions. CROP helps to alleviate hunger and poverty, both locally and globally. Register to walk or donate at crophungerwalk.org/wakeforestnc. Then ask others to support your efforts with their tax-deductible donations.  On Sunday, September 26 meet outside the Family Life Center at 1:45.
